The problem
When my wife went into labour, we tried several contraction timer apps. Most were cluttered with ads, subscription prompts, or unnecessary features.
The opportunity
I took it as the perfect excuse to do something I’d always wanted to try: build my own iOS app. I designed and developed TrackMyContractions, a clean, ad-free app built in SwiftUI, focusing on clarity and calm during one of life’s most intense moments.
The result
The app launched on the Apple App Store and quickly resonated with expectant parents. It reached No.17 in the paid medical chart and has maintained a 5-star rating. Sometimes the simplest ideas, made with care, land the hardest.
